Hello and welcome! I am excited to share my love of baking and entertaining with you.
I was four years old when I began baking cookies. My maternal grandmother, Angelina Dolce, would lovingly indulge me whenever I asked her to make my favorite classic Italian "S" cookies. She was patient and gentle in her instruction, and the love she poured into this activity is something I will never forget.
It was my mother Rosemary who taught me to clean as I go and to "not be a gavone when I'm baking." She didn't indulge my baking requests as often, but when she did I would sometimes tape record it as if it were a radio cooking show. The brownie episode is a favorite by far. Those tape recordings still exist somewhere in my house.
During my undergraduate years, I'd bake any chance I got. These years I would perfect my chocolate chip cookie recipe and make cheesecakes regularly. I kept my classmates and roommates well fed.
Years ago when managing brand marketing for the country's largest egg brand, I had the chance to meet some of my culinary idols: Amanda Freitag, Tyler Florence, Jonathan Waxman, Fabio Viviani, Marc Forgione, and Martha Stewart. These were full-circle moments for me and memories I will never forget.
In my professional life outside of baking, I am a brand marketing director in the consumer goods & personal care industries.
I am a proud Jersey Girl and Penn State Alum. I live in Northern New Jersey with my husband and chief taste tester, Brian, and our Australian Labradoodle and chief barketing officer, Penny.
